Josie- Ro

Josie is a girl I've known for years... She was the awkward middle school kid and I was the just-as-equally awkward college student mentoring her in our church youth group.

I dont know if its just me getting older, but I didnt even realize that 6 years had passed since her middle school days! When Josie asked me to take her senior portraits I remember thinking "WHAT... Josie is a SENIOR in HIGH SCHOOL?!"

Time is a funny thing, just like Josie. There's never ever a dull moment with this young lady around and I absoluely love it. I'm so excited to see where she goes in life.

Josie is headed to Emporia State University to major in Secondary Education, English.

Ch-Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes!

This summer has been FULL of changes for me. Changes for the good and bad, changes that were hard and easy.

But I wasnt the only one going through changes this warm season...
I had the opportunity to photograph two very dear friends weddings and I am so happy they allowed me to capture their special day. Both friends I've known pretty much my entire life and I am truly blessed by them and their families.

I wish you all the best, and again, I thank you for allowing Liz and I to photograph your weddings!

Hello, sweet Summer.

I love anything Summer. The season, the sausage and the young woman! This girl is a beautiful musician who I KNOW will go so far in life. She's got tons of friends, love and God on her side, so there's no doubt in my mind she will go places. She writes and records her own music, sings like an angel and has a heart of gold.

Taylor Swift wants to be Summer... There is no argument.

So, ladies and gentlemen, I give you... Summer!

Red leaves blow in the wind and barren branches wave goodbye.

This fall I had the opportunity to photograph two families of ladies I work with. They're new friends so I was totally psyched when they asked me to take photos of them and their loved ones, including their puppies. They both booked within the same weekend, so I was busy but I had a blast photographing them and I really hope that shows through in my work.

Over the summer, my aunt mentioned to me that one of her coworkers was searching for a photographer for her intimate wedding on Thursday, October 11th, 2012 or 10-11-12. I thought it was a great day to have a small, immediate family and friends only kind of wedding, so I sent the bride a few photos from past weddings and within a couple days I was booked! The wedding and reception took place at a picnic shelter by a lake near Council Grove, KS. The wedding was all DIY as the bride is a very crafty lady, and I'm sure she had lots of help from her soon-to-be husband and two daughters! I had a wonderful time shooting this wedding and I hope the photographs show that!
